Agencies attending in-person: in-person portion of this event will have the same elements of a traditional job fair along with the assistance of technology. Although it is not required we highly recommend downloading The Center Virtual Events mobile app to maximize the agency's experience. Wifi will be provided at no cost for everyone in attendance.
Agencies attending virtually: The first Hybrid Educational Employment Fair - Southern California will be live March 11, 2023, starting at 9:00 AM (PST) and will end at 12:00 PM (PST). You may login at 6:30 AM (PST) on the day of the event to view the virtual lobby, exhibit hall and other exciting features. The live chat and video chat features will be available only from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (PST). You will also be able to login and view candidate information for one month following the event.
Platform and chat training will be available prior to the event. You only need Wi-Fi connection and a mobile, tablet, or laptop/desktop device; a camera feature on your device for video chats is optional. No additional technology is required.
As your agency considers the virtual booth design, keep in mind you want to attract potential candidates with a brief overview of your agency, your jobs or anticipated job openings. You may want to include salary information, benefits, where you are located, and local points of interest.
We recommend assigning at least two recruiters to work the event. Candidates will visit your virtual booth and you may begin a private chat with them. Chats can be public or private chats. Candidates move quickly on to other agencies during the live event if their chats do not receive a timely response.
Be prepared to offer follow up information to candidates after the event.
Contact the event tech support team (top right-hand corner of the screen) if you have technical questions.
To login to the event, click “Login” in the top right-hand corner and use the email and password provided by the agency contact who designed your agency’s virtual booth.
